Aeroplan has been privileged to work with the caring and technically innovative team at Better The World. They understand the ‘heart’ of why community engagement programs are important, and offer great insights into how to make those programs accessible and visually compelling.
For five years, the Aeroplan Beyond Miles program encouraged Aeroplan members to donate their miles to its selected charity partners. In 2011, Aeroplan asked us to help increase participation in the program. Our research told us that people prefer to choose the causes they support, and so we listened. In addition to Beyond Miles Charity Partners, the new platform allows community fundraisers to collect donated miles from friends and family to use for travel needs or to redeem at the Aeroplan eStore. Fundraisers can share their stories using the social media tools on their Beyond Miles page while interacting on the live update feed.
