Interface Developer, Full Time
We have an immediate opening for an interface developer to join our development team here in Toronto. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in either web software development or a digital agency environment and advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and JSON. Portfolio and code samples are required.
Key responsibilities:
- Converting wireframes/mocks/specs to HTML templates
- Hands-on development working with JavaScript, DOM, CSS, HTML
- Developing cross-browser compliant interfaces
- Media optimization for web consumption
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of web development experience, able to code without WYSIWIG editors
- Experienced with JQuery framework
- Experienced with user interface technologies DOM/HTML/CSS
- Familiar with either PHP, Ruby, or ASP
- Familiar with SVN or GIT version control systems
- Familiar with JSON web services
Nice To Have:
- Familiar working in an MVC application framework
- Experience working with Facebook Apps
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services like S3, Cloudfront
- HTML5 experience
- Experience working with LESS/SASS
- Web design skills, good command of PhotoShop/Illustrator
- Active GITHUB account with code samples
Expectations:
- Onsite at least 3 days of the week, office is in downtown Toronto
- Self starter, willingness to work within a team
- Interests in charitable or community causes
